BIOGRAPHY

Rachel Stanfield is a dancer born and raised in San Diego, California. Throughout her childhood she trained at multiple dance studios in the San Diego area, and spent her summers studying at dance intensives across the country such as the American Ballet Theater. Rachel attended college at California State University, Long Beach where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Dance as well as a Minor in Film. She studied under teachers such as Rebecca Lemme, Gracie Whyte, and Andrew Vaca. During her time at CSULB she was a part of several dance shows and films, and had the honor of performing at the American College Dance Association Gala in Oregon.

After earning her degree, Rachel joined Geometry Dance Company directed by Mackenzie Martin in Los Angeles, California. She performed with Geometry at Mashup’s International Women’s Day Festival and was a part of the Geometry Showcase. Rachel was recently in the first generation of the GENPRO Program at Genesis Studios Los Angeles, a professional dance program led by Mackenzie Martin and Taylor Hansen which includes industry training from Justine Menter. While in this program she trained closely with several teachers such as Melissa Schade and Tess Hewlett.

In addition to dance, Rachel is also passionate about pilates. She attended the Synergetic Pilates Certification Program and trained under Steven Sofia and Robin Kish. Rachel is a fully certified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor. Her pilates and dance training go hand in hand as they not only prioritize a healthy lifestyle, but offer a space to practice a holistic mind-body connection. Rachel is currently still with Geometry Dance Company and splits her time between Los Angeles and San Diego.
